Hal McMillin Joins Thompson Engineering

Thompson Engineering, a multi-disciplined engineering firm with offices in eight southeastern states, announced that Hal McMillin has joined its Lake Charles, La. office as a Business Development Manager. In his role at Thompson, McMillin will focus on growth opportunities in southwest Louisiana’s industrial market.

“Hal joins Thompson Engineering at an exciting time for our company in Louisiana,” said John Baker, President and CEO. “Over the last few years, we have successfully completed projects from Baton Rouge to Sulphur. With a proven record in these communities, we’re excited to bring on Hal to help spread the word about our capabilities in this region.”

McMillin also serves the Lake Charles community as a Calcasieu Parish Police Juror for District 14, a position he has held for 20 years. Additionally, McMillan provides a monthly outdoor report for KPLC, the NBC affiliate in Lake Charles.

Thompson Engineering opened its Lake Charles branch office in 2014, its Baton Rouge office in 2017, and a soils and construction materials laboratory in Kenner, Louisiana in 2018.
